Rogue Ales once began as an Oregon brewery but has now grown to distribute around the country. In addition, the brewery has opened up a number of tap rooms and pubs around Oregon, including three in Portland. During our recent trip to Portland, we visited the Rogue Eastside Pub & Pilot Brewery, a large facility just east of the Willamette River. The pub is quite modern and full of color, taking its inspiration from Rogue’s red and black logo, as well as other Rogue-themed murals and pictures. The brewery also has a large outdoor area, although we opted to sit inside during the unseasonably hot weather.

The pub has 36 taps featuring Rogue beer (yes, 36!), in addition to 19 other taps devoted to other local breweries. With so many different options, everyone is sure to find something they enjoy. However, if you’re looking for something other than beer, the pub also has cocktails made from Rogue spirits. If you would like to have something to nibble on while you’re trying some different drinks, the brewery has food, with a menu featuring salads, burgers, sandwiches, small plates, and other pub food. We decided to try a few of Rogue’s beers on our visit, and we enjoyed each one. We recommend checking it out for yourself if you’re in the Portland area.
