Milk & Hops is a rather quaint beer bar and shop located near Washington Square Park and is the perfect place for a quick drink after work or meeting up with a friend. The clean and sleek interior is surprisingly quite relaxing, with the bright white subway tiles lightening up the space and the large shelves of beer providing an almost library-esque feel to the presentation of the drinks. These beers are for sale if you’re looking to grab something for dinner, but Milk & Hops also has several beers on tap, with many of these taps devoted to local craft beers. We enjoyed both a local IPA and a lovely sour beer from Virginia while we were there, illustrating the range of beers Milk & Hops offers. The bar also offers a few snack items; we ordered a pretzel, which was given to us on a slate board with a design drawn with the mustard for the pretzel–an endearing touch to the elegant presentation. After our beers and pretzel, we left Milk & Hops quite content after an enjoyable experience. With good beer, nice snacks, and a pleasant atmosphere, Milk & Hops is a great place to spend an afternoon if you’re in the Village.
