One Mile House Bar is located in NoLIta and is one of the city’s best beer bars. One Mile House is small, with a large bar in the middle and small tables scattered around the bar. The bar is clean but cozy, with old brick on the walls, warm wood, and metal tile on the ceiling. The atmosphere is similar to a cozy pub, but with a more modern twist.
One Mile House has a small, but full food menu that features a few small plates, burgers, sandwiches, fries, and flatbreads. However, the main draw of One Mile House is their large tap list and even larger bottle selection. One Mile House often gets exclusive beers from the New York area, New England, and throughout the country and world. They update their tap list often, so even if you go every week, you’re sure to find another great beer on tap. When we went, we didn’t order any food, but we were able to try two beers from Vermont that are routinely listed as some of the best in the country and, as one might expect, difficult to find. We enjoyed getting to try the beer, and were equally happy that we found a great beer spot that we found a pleasant place to sit, talk, and drink a good beer (or two). One Mile House is certainly a great place to go in NYC if you enjoy craft beer.
