This weekend we explored a well-known waterfall in the North Georgia Mountains-Anna Ruby Falls. The falls are named after the daughter who once lived in Hardman Farm Historic Site-Anna Ruby. The falls are located just north of Helen, GA in the Chattahoochee National Forest and it is rather unique because it is not just one waterfall, but two falls next to one another. Two separate creeks flow over the rocks to create Anna Ruby Falls.

Visitors can hike a half mile trail up to the falls after paying a small entrance fee of $3.00. The path is paved, and although a bit steep, it is a well-maintained trail. The trail along the way to the falls is absolutely beautiful as it runs along the creek that flows from the falls. Since the trail is only a half mile you won’t be there for a long period of time, but it is definitely worth the visit. Anna Ruby Falls was a lovely visit in the North Georgia Mountains.
