As we have written before, Ponce City Market is filled with a variety of places to eat. Many of these feature international cuisine, making for a fun, cultural experience. We recently ate at Marrakesh Mediterranean Market, a small counter in the market with a few options, but with a lot of flavor. Marrakesh uses fresh ingredients and family recipes to make delicious Morroccan cuisine. For those unfamiliar with Moroccan food, as we were, Marrakesh’s menu features foods similar to Greek cuisine, such as kebabs, falafel, tzatziki, pita, and hummus. We tried a falafel plate with a side of fries and pita and hummus. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and we enjoyed our meal very much. While some of the food was similar to other Mediterranean cuisine, the spices were unique, giving our meal an extra kick. If you’re at Ponce City Market and looking for a quick bite to eat, check out Marrakesh Mediterranean Market; you will be glad you did.
