The majority of wineries in Georgia are located in the Blue Ridge mountains, but Feather’s Edge is a bit closer to the north Atlanta suburbs in Ball Ground, GA. The winery is an expansion on an already present art gallery, allowing visitors to sip wine and take in some art. It is located only a couple miles off of I-575, making it quite accessible in comparison to most wineries in Georgia. The back of the winery has a stage with a variety of seating areas set in the wood of Georgia, creating a picturesque setting to enjoy wine and music. They have a variety of wine including various reds and wines. We participated in a tasting, and they have five wines of their own, as well as wine from Georgia Winery and Three Sisters. They had two reds, two whites, and a dessert wine. We found their wine to be a nice picnic wine or perfect for the setting of sitting outside and listening to some southern music. For those looking for an afternoon outing accompanied with music and wine in a natural setting, Feather’s Edge might be a great place to head this weekend.
