This year for Valentine’s Day we went to Vine & Tap in Buckhead. Vine & Tap is a local wine bar that also boasts being a gastro-pub. The restaurant is located off of Lenox road in a small district with little shops and restaurants. We had been wanting to visit for several years and were excited to finally visit. Since it was winter time the outdoor patio was closed, but there is a nice outdoor seating area. The decor of Vine & Tap was relaxed chic, with light wood tables, plush chairs, dim lights dangling from above, and an expansive array of wines decorating the wall. In general though, it appears Vine & Tap is more of a local hangout than an upscale dining experience as the general attire was rather relaxed. Several of the visitors sitting around us mentioned coming regularly and making it seem as if Vine & Tap is a slightly more upscale local hangout for those living in the surrounding area. As the name suggests, there was a large variety of wine, but also cocktails, beer, and champagne. We each got a glass of wine and had the Luigi Bosca Malbec and the GIA Langhe Rosso. Both were quite delicious. Additionally, patrons can also partake in a wine flight to try a variety of wines. Vine & Tap also offers a small array of artisan plates, but we stuck to just wine. The service was quite good, and we enjoyed our experience at Vine & Tap.
