Recipe Week-Day 5

We typically relax on Friday evenings after a long work week and explore on Saturday, so we often try a new snack or recipe on Friday and then just snuggle in and enjoy a movie with a tasty treat. Recently we made our own version of Zucchini chips and found them to be a healthy snack.

2-3 Zucchini

Olive Oil

Bread Crumbs with Italian Seasoning

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Chop up the zucchini into thin slices and then dip them in a small bowl of olive oil. Afterwards, put them in the bread crumbs and cover them with bread crumbs. We used Italian seasoning in the bread crumbs; however, we love playing with spices and herbs, so feel free to try a variety of flavors. Next, put them on a pan and bake for about 12 minutes. They burn rather easily, so pay attention because it may be a little shorter or longer depending on your oven. Afterwards, you are left with a healthy little snack that is perfect for game day, watching a movie, or even as appetizers for a party. We brought these to a friend’s party, and they were a huge success!

Side Note: These go great with dip!
