One of our absolute favorite wineries, if not our favorite winery thus far, is Kaya Vineyards in the North Georgia wine country. Kaya is located in Dahlonega, GA, just down the road from Frogtown Cellars and Three Sisters Winery. Visitors pull up to a grand stone entrance and drive up to breathtaking mountains views. Kaya has a large indoor area that is covered in windows from floor to ceiling, allowing visitors to take in some of the most stunning Georgia mountain views we have yet to experience. The winery is located on top of a foothill of the mountains, and rolling down the side of the hills is the grape vines. Then looking up, you are greeted by layers of mountains meeting one another. We partook in a wine tasting and were as impressed with the wines as we were with the grand views. Kaya has a solid range of wines with several whites, a couple roses, and a few reds. We were definitely impressed by the quality of Kaya’s wines, and enjoyed every wine we tasted. Afterwards, we purchased a bottle of the Trifecta, ordered the cheese plate and charcuterie plate, then headed out to the grand patio that allows you to continue to overlook the incredible mountain views. The cheese and charcuterie plates were absolutely fantastic, and paired with the wine created a lovely dining experience. There is both covered and uncovered outdoor seating depending on your preference. The winery also offers live music, making it great for a relaxing afternoon of sipping wine, hanging out with friends, catching some music, and just enjoying the beauty of the mountains. There is also a gift shop for you to grab a variety of home goods or wine themed trinkets for your home.
