Instead of reaching for the tasty, but not necessarily good for you, dips next time you want a snack, we have a couple of dip options that are healthy, but still taste great. For a basic option, just take plain Greek yogurt and mix spices into the yogurt. We use different Savory Spice blends for different flavors, and our favorites are the Mt. Eolus Greek Seasoning and the Jamaican Jerk Seasoning, both of which add a lot of flavor to the dip. Use the dip for chips, vegetables, or anything else that fancies you.

If you’d like something a bit more involved, you can add cucumbers and spices for a tzatziki sauce that can double as a dip.

Ingredients:

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

Half a cucumber

1/2 Tbs. dill

1 tsp. pepper

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. garlic

1/2 Tbs. olive oil

Place the Greek yogurt in a bowl. Dice the cucumber or, if you have one, use a food processor. Place the cucumber and the rest of the ingredients into the bowl and mix well. You can add more or less of each of the ingredients depending on your individual taste. Add the Tzatziki sauce to homemade gyros, other Greek food, or just dip chips and veggies in it. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll have a healthy and refreshing snack.
