Java Jive is a small coffee house and cafe located along Ponce De Leon Ave in Virginia Highlands. Be careful as you drive along Ponce, you might miss it if you’re not paying close attention. Once inside, you’re surrounded by 1950’s style decor-vintage signs and accessories, along with 50’s style tables and chairs. Java Jive has a small breakfast menu, but you’ll probably have a hard time deciding what to get-between the pecan waffles, egg scrambles, and omelets, there’s a lot to like on the menu. We tried the pecan waffles and the Santa Fe scramble, and both were delicious. Each bite was flavorful, and we were satisfied and full at the end of the meal. Unlike many other places in Atlanta, Java Jive’s prices are on the lower end, although be advised that they are a cash-only cafe. While Java Jive might have an inauspicious outer appearance, we recommend giving their delicious food a try.
