Bruschetta is a popular hors d’oeuvres and for good reason-it’s refreshing, tasty, and easy to make, yet classy. We’ve come up with our own recipe that we share below:


3-4 tomatoes, depending on how much bruschetta you want to make

Fresh basil (grow your own for an extra special treat!)

1/2 onion

Feta cheese

Balsamic vinegar

Salt and pepper, to taste

Dice the tomatoes, onions, and basil, and place them into a bowl. Mix well. Depending on how the mixture looks, feel free to add more of any of the three ingredients according to your taste. Add some balsamic vinegar and just a bit of salt and pepper, also according to your taste. This is how we normally make it, but feel free to experiment with your own ingredients. One time, as you can see in the photo, we added feta cheese to the bruschetta. You can use bruschetta on a variety of things, but we like it on crackers with cheese, especially fresh mozzarella.
