Cypress Street Pint & Plate is an upscale pub located in Midtown near the Georgia Tech campus. Cypress Street takes its decor cue from its name, Cypress. The exterior is an inviting brick building. The interior is a warm light green with lovely dark woods and just enough modern touches to make the interior look clean and sleek as well. There are a few TVs in the bar, but they are sporadic enough that you can make them as much or as little a part of your visit as you would like.

As with many upscale pubs, Cypress Street serves salads, sandwiches, burgers, and a few entrees made with fresh ingredients and unique twists. We ordered a burger and found the flavors to be mouth-wateringly delicious-the food was definitely worth a visit to Cypress Street. As the name suggests, however, Cypress Street also emphasizes their selection of craft beers. The bar had a rather large list of beers, especially local beers, as well as a selection of other liquors and handcrafted beverages.

Cypress Street was well worth a visit. The atmosphere is warm and inviting (although since they have TVs, if you’re craving some intimacy, be careful when you go since it is right next to a college campus), and the food and beer selection will leave your taste buds satisfied.
