A herb we recently began to use more frequently is sage and throwing together a few ingredients, including sage we came across a delicious recipe.
Sage (Freshly chopped)
Butter (1/2 tablespoon)
After preparing the rice, we added about a 1/2 tablespoon of butter to add a little flavor to the rice and make the consistency easy to work with. Afterwards we placed freshly minced sage into the rice and stirred. We tried to make the sage as small as possible to stir well into the rice. You can use as little or as much as you like, depending on the amount of flavor you want to add. We used around a small handful of sage for about a cup of rice. Rarely do we measure out ingredients or follow a specific recipe and instead we simply throw together ingredients so you can always tweak the recipe to your own tastes. Finally, we squeezed a a little lime juice onto the savory rice for an additional pop of flavor! We found this recipe refreshing and delicious.
